I was thinking about pixel counting, the simple math of counting how many edges are in a certain section of a picture to find the resolution, and testing with bloodborne made me realise the lines don't even need to be straight.On twitter.com

I thought you'd need perfectly straight lines to get an accurate sample count but that's not true. every measurement in this picture all boils down to 1/2 and since the original screenshot was in 4K that means the resolution of the game is 1080p which is correct.Permalink On twitter.com
