So a bit of software came out a while ago called ZLUDA and it lets running Nvidia's CUDA on AMD GPUs. The official branch crashes when trying to render Blender Cycles with CUDA but lshqqytiger's fork renders just fine.. and a little faster than AMD's own HIP RT!!

Blender class room default settings except rendering at 4K instead of 1080P GPU: 7800XT HIP RT - 00:02:10.24 HIP - 00:02:10.62 CUDA with ZLUDAcores - 00:02:01.73
-
Barbershop scene fully default GPU: 7800XT HIP RT - 00:02:29.62 HIP - 00:02:30.32 CUDA with ZLUDA - 00:02:17.91
-
Barbershop scene + Persistent data GPU: 7800XT HIP RT - 00:02:18.55 HIP - 00:02:19.76 CUDA with ZLUDA - 00:02:04.38
-
Blender 3.5 splash screen + no denoising + 0.005 noise threshold + 1024 max samples GPU: 7800XT HIP RT - 00:03:36.54 HIP - 00:03:37.52 CUDA with ZLUDA - 00:03:14.59

While not much faster ZLUDA is measurably faster than HIP... and HIUP RT seemingly does nothing for me in any of these scenes?
