      as you could see, it does work! but I need to mention a couple things about this method. The frametime graph isn't entierly accurate since the frame times the display is showing will actually adjust to the content instead of jumping between 8.3333 and 16.6666ms

    Without the frametime graph the FPS graph is still pretty useful! while not 100% exactly spot on it is close enough to the FPS shown on my monitor's on screen display that the general trends are still useful.

      I think the best way I could show these graphs is removing the frametime graph, recording the OSD of te monitor with my phone and comping that next to the fps shown in the top left. but I do need to do some more testing for non 120hz content.

        like if setting my capture card to 120FPS or 240FPS for games running at 60hz with VRR enabled will show a more accrate frametime graph? is there any way to capture direct variable FPS video from a capture card yet? Is Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart a good game? (Spoilers: YES!)
